Guitar repair – A quick job on this #Yamaha!

Another quick one and another black one today, reason being that thanks to my site playing up for months, I have a whole backlog of posts waiting to be written (and read).

Thing is, of all the instruments I see, I choose carefully to feature some on this blog. Of the ‘chosen ones’, if I write every Sunday, I will be able to clear the backlog by Jan 31, 2027!!

Oh, you get the drift!

SO, this tidy-looking instrument landed up on the counter for action correction and a strap button.

Talking of strap buttons and drilling, it is always a good idea to mark the drill-point with some masking tape, so that there is no splintering around the hole.

After the customary clean up, I adjusted the neck and threw on some fresh strings, and the reading I got of the action said that it was uncomfortably high. Adjustments were made  and finally, the guitar had a comfortable action.

That done, it was time to screw on the strap button

and send the baby home!!
